Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Verity began her professional career as a jazz musician. After studying at the New Zealand School of Music, she completed her Bachelor of Music Degree. Whilst working for a few years in the Jazz field, Verity's love of both music and dance took her through a natural transition into musical theatre. This led her to the United Kingdom, where she gained a Masters from the prestigious UK based drama school, Guildford School of Acting.
Verity began her Musical Theatre journey, joining the cast of West Side Story, as understudy 'Anita' for The Royal Shakespeare Company/North Music Trust. She then went on to perform in two back to back #1 UK Tours with Bill Kenwright Ltd in Evita, which then transferred into the Dominion Theatre, where she debuted in London's West End. Verity's latest credits were for Really Useful Group/Royal Caribbean in the USA, where she played 'Demeter' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats, as 'Storyteller' and Dance Captain in Children of Eden at the Union Theatre in London and was an 'Eva Peron' understudy in the most recent International Tour of Evita.
She is excited to launch her latest project The Iconic Blonde, her one woman cabaret show, celebrating the music of Iconic blonde female artists through the years, available for private hire. (www.theiconicblonde.com)
Verity would like to dedicate her career thus far, to the wonderful support of her family, who have not missed a show yet.
